Position Summary: Assist the Head Coach in all duties related to the management of an NCAA Division II Collegiate Baseball Program.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Pass the NCAA Rules Test
• Academic monitor and mentor for ENMU Baseball
• Assist head baseball coach with all aspects of the team including running practices and training of players
• Assist in coordinating and running baseball camps
• Assist with recruiting
• Assist with fundraising, community service and public relations projects
• Efficiently lead pitching drills
• Scouting and game film analysis
• Commits to and is responsible for adhering to all rules and regulations set forth for the team, Eastern New Mexico University, the Lone Star Conference and the NCAA with the highest integrity
• May assist in planning and arranging team travel
• Required to drive a university vehicle (15 passenger van)
• Perform other related duties as assigned

• A Bachelor's Degree is required with a Master's degree preferred
• Minimum of 3 years as a high school head coach or 1 year as a college assistant or head coach or college playing experience.
• A valid USA Driver's License or the ability to obtain one within 30 days of employment is also required, as well as the ability to safely operate a motor vehicle in all kinds of weather and road conditions (CDL endorsement preferred)

• Proficient speaking, writing, and organizational skills
• Effectively articulate thoughts and ideas to others
• Proficient computer, video-equipment, social media and public relation skills
• Possess a strong desire to work with young individuals and a commitment to the success of each student-athlete
• Must be a hard worker, self-driven person that can work independently
• Ability to drive long distances for away matches

Physical Demand and Working Conditions:

• Work is medium in nature that at times requires exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects
• Work is performed both inside a non-smoking facility and outside with extremes of cold and hot temperature changes, wet and humid conditions
• Exposure to blood-borne pathogens is possible
• Will require frequent evening and weekend hours
• Requires traveling for games and recruiting purposes
• Participate in baseball drills and scrimmages
