Responsibilities
- Review bookkeeping regularly to ensure accuracy
- Create and approve staff payrolls and client or supplier payments
- Produce regular financial reports such as budgets and cash flow forecasts
- Investigate accounting irregularities, mistakes, or potential fraud
- Ensure compliance with legal accounting standards and GAAP Accounting
- Reconcile balance sheet and maintain accurate customer credit records
- Offer advice and suggestions to improve the accounting processes and financial stability of the company
- Assist in daily accounting functions as needed
- Communicate effectively with clients and in-house stakeholders
- Execute complex financial models and forecasts
- Handle accounts receivable, general ledgers, and financial reporting tasks.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Staff Accountant role within the Construction/Contractor industry
- Proficient in Full Charge Bookkeeping
- Demonstrable experience with Balance Sheet Reconciliation
- Solid understanding and application of GAAP Accounting principles
- Familiarity with maintaining and managing General Ledger
- Capable of conducting Financial Reporting with accuracy and precision
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Strong organizational and analytical skills.
