Simpson Judge are working with a well established National Law Firm, who are looking to expand their leading Personal Injury team. The firm are seeking an experienced Associate Attorney to join their office in Nassau County, with at least 2 years’ Plaintiff Personal Injury experience to join and add to their firms successes.
Within the role you will be expected to manage a mixed complexity caseload of varied personal injury matters, from inception through to resolution. The role will be highly rewarding, enabling you the opportunity to work on high-value and high-quality matters as a leading Associate Attorney.
Responsibilities:
· Manage a caseload of mixed complexity plaintiff personal injury claims including construction, labour law, medical malpractice, premises liability and more
· Manage and prioritise a busy schedule with the ability to meet key deadlines
· Review and draft important legal documents such as pleadings, discovery demands, motions etc.
· Conduct depositions, mediations and settlement negotiations
· Assist with trial preparations and Court appearances
Qualifications:
· J.D. obtained from and ABA accredited School of Law
· Admitted to practice in New York, and ideally New Jersey
· 2 yrs experience as an Associate Attorney within Plaintiff Personal Injury
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills
· Strong organisation and time management
· Detail orientated and strong analytical skills
· Trial experience is a bonus
