METALWORKING LUBRICANTS COMPANY is Hiring an Assistant Production Manager Near Pontiac, MI

Job Description: The Assistant Production Manager is responsible for overseeing daily activities of the production facility in conjunction with the Production Manager, including manufacturing, handling, dispatch and safety.

Responsibilities: may include but are not limited to the following:

  • Coordinating and maintaining the facility's safety program
  • Communicate resource needs to upper management
  • Establish and/or develop processes for producing final products
  • Follow processing of products to assure the production of the product meets all requirements
  • Interact with quality to develop standard methods and procedures and collect and review data and information regarding process improvements
  • Fill in and assist Production Manager
  • Coordinate scaling up from lab production size to plant size batches
  • Verify process development and pilot batches
  • Coordinate daily activities of production QC technicians
  • Identify process development activities to continuously improve plant operations
  • Review, approve, distribute and archive any new or revised documents, procedures or manuals
  • Maintain area records
  • Review training program yearly
  • Assure all employees are properly trained according to the area's training program
  • Review employees

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors or Technical degree with at least 2 years of experience or 5 year experience in the industry
  • Technical and Manufacturing experience preferred
  • Strong leadership and communication skills preferred
