APEX Placement and Consulting has partnered with an exciting company in Pontiac, MI looking to add a Teacher Assistant to their already amazing team. - Assist teacher in providing children with educational experiences including social, emotional, language, literacy and physical development through daily lesson plans and activities
- Responsible for making appropriate referrals for follow-up of children as needed which includes children with special needs.
- Assist classroom teacher in developing and implementing lesson plans individualized per child needs
- Assist in documenting children’s educational experiences in the Child Observation Record (COR).
- Maintain constant active supervision with all children in the classroom.
- Ensure a safe and welcoming environment is provided for classroom children
- Attend all trainings, workshops and classroom certifications as required.
- Carry out all other duties as assigned by supervisor
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Must be willing to enroll in the Child Development Associate (CDA) credential program and obtain certification within 2 years of employment
- 1 years’ experience in working with preschool children preferred
