Scientific Products, an ATS Company is expanding our team and have immediate opening for an inventory Control Clerk 1st Shift! This position is Monday - Friday.

Start time is 7 : 00am - 3 : 30pm. The primary purpose of this position is to ensure the accuracy of the company's inventory utilizing company resources and an investigative mind.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES

• Investigate issues concerning lost or inaccurate inventory.
• Find the root cause of the issues and report findings to all required parties.
• Perform cycle counts to narrow down where lost inventory is located.
• Utilize Syteline to make necessary inventory adjustments to keep inventory accurate.
• Respond to various emails concerning lost or misplaced inventory throughout the plant.
• May be required to travel to other SP warehouses (Bel-Art Wayne and HB lnstruments) during company physical inventory.
• Work with little or no supervision to complete tasks.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) are preferred
• One to three months related experience in an assembly work setting is preferred, but not necessary.
• Familiar with the operation of forklifts and scissor lifts in a warehouse environment is preferred.
• Problem solving skills is a plus.
• Experience with computer, scanner, data entry, reading and comprehension of instructions and units of measure are all preferred.
• Must be able to obtain a good knowledge of Bel-Art system (Syteline).

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The work environment characteristics described here are typical of those an employee might encounter while performing the essential functions of this job.

• The shop contains mobile equipment, machinery, and high voltages.
• The shop noise level is variable and may require hearing protection in some areas.
• The shop is heated when required but many areas are not air conditioned.

• Report any unsafe conditions or unsafe acts
• Report defect in any equipment or protective device
• Ensure that the required protective equipment is used for the assigned tasks
• Attend all required health, safety and environmental training
• Report any accidents / incidents to supervisor
• Assist in investigating accidents / incidents
• Refrain from engaging in any prank, contest, feat of strength, unnecessary running or rough and boisterous conduct
