Job Duties:

  • Conduct weekly review and reporting; conduct monthly review of profitability by client, identifying clients with value added margin less than the budgeted margin average.
  • Develop and maintain an appropriate A/R reserve based on historic analysis of bad debt.
  • Conduct annual review of sales by state to identify sales tax nexus requirements, registration and sales tax system setup as needed.
  • Manage monthly commission calculation and reconciliation.
  • Reclose and reconcile subsidiary accounting systems.
  • Ensure compliance with diversity reporting that is required by the specific customers.
  • Review and update new customer onboarding forms to perform credit screening process, determine the credit term, and setup the new client account.
  • Oversee clients’ billing portals.
  • Perform reconciliation of assigned balance sheet accounts, including research and correction of reconciling items for cash, miscellaneous receivables, prepaid expenses including prepaid postage / stamps, and customer advance billing accounts.
  • Provide management reporting including A/R aging, profitability by client, quoted vs. actual invoiced, and sales KPI’s (Key Performance Indicators) (weekly sales invoiced, projected monthly sales, etc.).
  • Edit business process documentation to streamline the billing processes.
  • Provide invoice training to Account Management Team.
  • Support the annual review, ensuring compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) rules.
  • Assist in preparation of annual budget and semi-annual re-forecast for assigned accounts.
  • Review and update client tax exemption forms. 
  • Tools/technologies used: PrintIQ, NetSuite, eSynergy, Client Portals, Propago, employer hosting service, Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). 

Requirements:

  • This position requires a Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field, and at least one (1) year of experience in accounting or auditing (any title) performing reconciliation and using Microsoft Office. Position also requires at least six (6) months of experience with invoices and expense reimbursement reports, designing expense databases, performing compliance assessments, reviewing account statements, and monitoring routine compliance events.
