We are a fun, growing optometry office in Pleasanton that is focused on exceptional customer service and patient care. We are looking for a part time or full time employee. Full time employees receive health, vision and retirement benefits. Salary dependent on experience.
We are looking for someone with an outgoing personality, great work ethic, positive attitude and excellent organizational skills. Being punctual and dependable is a must. Need to have excellent computer skills, ability to learn quickly and multitask effectively.
Previous optical experience with a minimum of 1 year in the optical field is required. Previous retail experience is also an asset.
Job duties include, but are not limited to:
Frame and lens selection
Dispensing glasses
Glasses adjustments, repairs and trouble shooting
Checking in and analyzing glasses and contact lenses
Greeting patients, answering phones and scheduling appointments
Pre-testing patients for exam
Getting insurance authorizations (VSP, EyeMed, MES, etc)
Billing insurance plans (VSP, EyeMed, MES, etc)
Filing and preparing patient charts
Contact lens insertion and removal training a plus
