Database Developer/Administrator.

Shift: 5A (Monday-Friday)

Job Purpose:

Develop/Install/Troubleshoot software to solve business problems that meet the needs of our customers and business. Software will provide a business solution, reduce labor, or insure compliance with an audit requirement. Individual will work with a variety of corporate, plant developed, customer developed and off the shelf software packages and will be able to integrate these software with our current network and current softwares.

Nature of duties and responsibilities:

Analyzes complex business problems to be solved with automated systems,. Current systems will be analyzed and the individual will work with IT and management making recommendations for changes and or will develop software or make recommendations for purchase of outside software. Individaual will Provide technical expertise in identifying, evaluating and developing systems and procedures that are cost effective and meet user requirements. Individual will configure system settings and options; plans and executes unit, integration and acceptance testing; and creates specifications for systems to meet business requirements. Individual will design details of automated systems and provide consultation to users in the area of automated systems. Individual will lead cross-functional linked teams to address business or systems issues. Individual will be the interface between the plant and Corporate and field IT to solve problems for users. Individual will train users on software and develop Standard Operating Procedures for software use. Individual will work with quality on software validations.

Education and Experience

A Bachelors in Computer Science or equivalent work experience a with knowledge of various programming languages especially Microsoft Access, Visual Basic, and Javascript, Sequel Database and experience in networking a plus..
