We are currently looking for a General Counsel, In-House counsel with a passion for success, a desire to grow within a company, and who can bring a confident and successful attitude.

Responsibilities of General Counsel:

• Drafting complaints for administrative agencies and courts.
• Drafting motions, memoranda and other documents for administrative agencies and courts.
• Preparation of cases (interviewing, investigating, seeking out documents)
• Researching and answering, orally or in writing, legal questions from staff, local officers or members.
• Participating in consultations on strategies for staff and locals to deal with and favorably resolve problems or disputes.
• Drafting legal documents such as legal documents, including affidavits, contracts, briefs, Notices, etc. to assist with insurance claims and collections efforts
• Preparing and filing documents with courts
• Organizing and archiving the documents related to completed and ongoing cases
• Keeping track of changes in the legal framework and providing timely updates on these changes

Requirements of the General Counsel:

• Member of Illinois Bar required.
• Minimum of one (1) to three (3) years' experience in corporate and business law preferred
• Valid Driver's License and automobile.
• Excellent communication and time management skills
• 18 years of age or older
• Able to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen**
• Authorized to work in the United States**
• Ability to communicate well with clients, supervisors, and co-workers**

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $90,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
