Keys to an interview : Paralegal Personal Injury Plaintiff Side

• At least 5 years' Paralegal experience focused on plaintiff side personal injury cases
• Litigation experience, including participation in at least one civil trial
• Experience with e-discovery and e-filing process in Illinois

Key Responsibilities : Paralegal Personal Injury Plaintiff Side

Research and analyze law sources such as statutes, recorded judicial decisions, legal articles, treaties, constitution, and other legal codes to prepare legal documents such as briefs, pleadings, or appeals, etc.

for use by the attorneys.

• Draft routine legal documents for review and use by attorneys.
• Compile and prepare draft discovery responses.
• Categorize and interpret data; review and analyze reports, responses and records produced by opposing counsel.
• Coordinate requests between multiple parties involved in litigation.
• Consistently communicate with clients.
• Speak with and vet potential personal injury clients. Assist attorneys with signing new cases and working on them from start to finish, with the intention of filing a complaint and going to trial.
• Working with the attorney to request and collect all evidence related to the case, including medical records, medical bills, evidence of lost wages, police reports, video camera footage, vehicle evidence, witness statements, and more.
• Reviewing and summarizing medical records and bills.
• Communicate with clients regarding case status and additional information needed for case.
• Assist attorney with deposition preparation and exhibit organization.
• Organize evidence for trial.
