Our ideal candidate is attentive, punctual, and hard-working. We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Remote Medical Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in medical assistance, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently in a remote setting. As a Remote Medical Assistant, you will support healthcare providers by managing patient communications, scheduling appointments, updating medical records, and providing administrative support.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct virtual patient check-ins and collect necessary medical history and information.
• Assist healthcare providers with telemedicine consultations by preparing patient information and ensuring smooth communication.
• Schedule and manage patient appointments, including follow-ups and referrals.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic medical records (EMR).
• Coordinate with pharmacies to manage prescription refills and address patient medication inquiries.
• Provide patient education and support, including answering questions and addressing concerns.
• Handle administrative tasks such as billing, coding, and insurance verification.
• Assist in managing patient flow and ensuring timely communication between patients and providers.
• Uphold patient confidentiality and comply with all HIPAA regulations and guidelines.
• Participate in regular team meetings and ongoing training sessions.

Qualifications:

• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Medical Assistant, preferably in a remote or telemedicine setting.
• Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems and other healthcare software.
• Strong understanding of medical terminology, procedures, and best practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Comfortable with technology and adept at troubleshooting basic technical issues.
• Reliable internet connection and a quiet, private workspace.
