Job Title: Mechanical Engineer - Automation and Fuel Cell Technology

Job Description:

Join a leading Fuel Cell business as a Mechanical Engineer with a focus on automation. This role offers a unique opportunity to play a pivotal part in the mechanical aspects of innovative technology production, enhancing efficiency through automation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop enclosures and subassemblies using SolidWorks, with an emphasis on automation.
• Collaborate with mechanical engineers experienced in 3D printing and automation to streamline concepts and reduce costs.
• Design plastic components and optimize manufacturing methods, including injection molding and automated 3D printing processes.
• Work on sheet metal design and fabrication with a focus on automated production techniques.
• Partner with a creative team to ensure project timelines are met, leveraging automated workflows to enhance productivity.

Experience Required:

• Educational background in Mechanical Engineering.
• Proven experience in product design, with a focus on automated manufacturing processes.
• Previous experience in designing and building small-scale consumer products, with knowledge of automation in packaging appliances for consumer electronics being a plus.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks, with a strong understanding of automation tools and techniques.
• Hands-on experience with DFM (Design for Manufacturability), particularly in automated environments.
• A portfolio showcasing your CAD work, including examples of designs optimized for automation.
• Extensive experience working to deadlines, with a demonstrated ability to integrate automation into project workflows.
