Job Summary:

Location: Piscataway, NJ

Frensco Building Products with headquarters in Woodside, NY is opening its second location in Piscataway, NJ. The Warehouse Supervisor oversees operations at the warehouse to ensure that all incoming and outgoing inventory is processed according to schedule. The supervisor will oversee the efficient receipt, storage, value-adding servicing and dispatch of a wide variety of products. Ultimately the manager should be able to ensure productivity targets are achieved and that all warehouse processes are running smoothly and promptly. Their duties include preparing schedules for Warehouse Associates, training new employees on how to use machinery and monitoring compliance with safety standards.

Reports to: Operations Manager

Responsibilities:

• Audit and report inventory amounts to Procurement.
• Establish warehouse practices and protocols to achieve an efficient warehouse.
• Set warehouse and team goals in collaboration with management.
• Keep up to date on the latest federal and state safety regulations.
• Communicate with other departments to ensure products are shipped in a timely manner.
• Responsible for inventory control, loss/damage prevention, warehousing, transportation/scheduling, receiving, order processing and customer service.
• Trains all warehouse and driver personnel regarding safety regulations, operational protocol and DOT regulations.
• Lead training initiatives to improve employees’ performance.
• Reviews performance metrics with Management. Continuous improvement methodology and culture instilled within the group.
• Monitors and assists in the maintenance of fixed assets (facility, forklifts and fleet).
• Assists in physical inventory counts and ensures proper stock rotation.
• Ensures warehouse and yards are clean, neat and orderly.
• Responsible for maintaining the security of the warehouse.
• Conducts operations in a manner that promotes safety.
• Additional responsibilities as assigned by management.

Qualification & Requirements:

• 3-5 years of experience in Warehouse Management, Inventory Management and Logistics.
• Must be able to delegate effectively & maintain procedures with all personnel.
• Ability to perform & work in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be a team player with excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to multi-task.
• Organized, with great attention to detail and accurate data entry.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word & Outlook) and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)

Willing to roll sleeves up and pitch in with any task necessary.

Education and Experience:

• A High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Associate degree or higher preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
