We are looking to recruit a Quality Engineer for a global composite materials manufacturer based at their Piedmont, South Carolina site. As a Quality Engineer you will be responsible for establishing and improving the sites quality practices and procedures relating to the manufacture, design and validation of materials used for aerospace and automotive applications. This also includes playing a leading role in carrying out material reviews, conducing failure analysis, root cause analysis and performing any corrective actions.

To be considered for this Quality Engineer you must possess significant quality experience within the aerospace or automotive component manufacturing sector, along with a strong working knowledge of the relevant quality management systems associated including AS9100 and NADCAP. You will also ideally be degree educated in engineering or relevant scientific discipline, however we can consider those without a BS if you have significant industrial experience and further qualifications within science/engineering.

Basic salary: $90,000 - $113,000 - compensation package will be dependant on a variety of factors relating to the applicant.

Role responsibilities

Play a leading role in developing quality practices for the manufacturer of materials used within the aerospace and automotive manufacturing sectors.

Lead problem solving efforts to resolve any quality and production issues relating to materials.

Manage failure analysis and investigations, as well as conduct the relevant corrective actions.

Maintain and develop the associated quality management systems including AS9100, ISO 9001, NADCAP and IATF/TS 16949.

Role requirements

B.S educated in a relevant engineering or scientific discipline – we could consider those without a degree if you possess significant industrial experience and further qualifications in Engineering.

Significant quality/engineering experience spent within the aerospace or automotive manufacturing sectors.

Must possess a good working knowledge AS9100, NADCAP and ISO 9001.
