Description
8am - 4 : 30pm / Full Time / 40 Hours
The primary responsibilities of the Clinic Laboratory Support Coordinator are to coordinate daily activities of the Clinic Phlebotomy Services staff responsible for registration, collection, labeling and / or processing of patient specimens for testing.
The Coordinator must possess all the skills of Tech III to fill staff vacancies as needed. Additional responsibilities include monitoring operations and productivity;
preparation of work schedules; training of new staff; overseeing computer functions and preparation of monthly quality / safety reports.
The Clinic Laboratory Support Coordinator will also ensure all resources and people are in place to support each shift to handle workload and makes sure each staff member is aware of responsibilities and time constraints.
This role will provide supervision and instruction to staff; document performance issues; take immediate corrective action as appropriate and make recommendations to supervisor concerning staff performance evaluations and disciplinary issues which may require formal action.
As well as, initiate incident reports and immediately forward the information to the proper administrator for completion and to work with manager to formulate plan for professional development.
