Title: Data Center Technician (IT Support)

Location: Eagan, MN 55123

Duration: 08 Months Contract

Hours: This will be a 3rd shift and one will be 2nd shift

2nd Shift: Monday - Friday Morning 2:00pm - 12:30am

3rd Shift: Monday night-Friday morning hours are 9:00pm until 7:30am

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with a team to install, remove, and replace servers.
• Perform hardware installations and cable installations, including troubleshooting and testing.
• Manage hardware decommissions and cable removal.
• Coordinate IT asset power requirements with facilities staff.
• Handle incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring accuracy.
• Provide remote hands support: power cycles, cabling inspections, hardware upgrades, and more.
• Grant site access to vendors and escort third parties, ensuring compliance with site standards.
• Conduct daily housekeeping checks in data halls and document findings.
• Support Service Management processes by managing service tickets.
• Prepare and utilize Method Statements and Risk Assessments for all tasks.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma required.
• Recent graduates with degrees in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Business Management, or related fields are encouraged to apply.
• Dependable and reliable with strong communication skills.
• A strong interest in technology and a willingness to learn new systems.

Typical Working Day:

• Engage in various tasks within the data center, including server and cable installations, troubleshooting, and supporting remote hands activities.
