HOURS FOR POSITIONMonday - Thursday 8:30am-5:30pm,Friday 8:30am-6pm, Saturday 8:30am-1:30pm 

THIS IS AN ON-SITE ROLE AT TOWER

SUMMARY OF POSITION:

Assist the Branch Manager in managing and coordinating the operations of a full service branch and subsidiary satellite branches to effectively service Tower Federal Credit Union (TFCU) members. Ensures quality control with in the branch to be in compliance with Tower's policies and procedures as well as State and Federal regulations. Supervise the branch staff to provide a trained, motivated, and professional team capable of cross selling appropriate credit union products and services, which meet the needs of the members. Provides for the physical security and operations of the branch to safeguard the assets and member accounts at TFCU. Performs written appraisals on branch staff. Exercises three or more of the duties of a Branch Manager on an ongoing basis. Has contact with potential, new, and existing Members and provides all types of share and loan services. Accepts Membership applications and determines membership eligibility. Accepts Loanliner and Mortgage applications. Cross-sells a full range of financial products and services. Performs administrative duties, including system data entry and duties.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES AND FUNCTIONS:

    1. Coordinating and managing the daily activities of the branch to ensure that they provide the appropriate products and services to meet the financial needs of Credit Union members.
    2. Acts as Branch Manager on an on going basis.
    3. Requires the flexibility to work additional hours for various reasons to include resolving branch balancing issues, staffing issues, supervising the testing of new releases and being available to provide access to the branch during non-business hours to support credit union needs.
    4. Daily interaction with the staff to provide the leadership, guidance, coaching and training necessary to develop a staff capable of referring and cross selling the appropriate credit union products and services.
    5. Responsible for monitoring effective cross selling of products and services.
    6. Maintains accounting accuracy of the branch through daily balancing of teller cash drawers, vault, ATM’s, monetary instruments, transaction records and reports. Implements internal auditing procedures, which properly control all items and records, held and maintained within the branch.
    7. Provides for the physical security of the branch.
    8. Performs written appraisals on branch staff.
    9. Responsible for managing and coordinating the daily operation of the branch to ensure time sensitive functions are completed in a timely manner.
    10. Provides subordinates with daily coaching and guidance.
    11. Informs staff of new services and organizational goals as they pertain to branch operations.
    12. Manages and supports sales and service activities.
    13. Provides guidance and uses independent discretion to deal with member needs. Counsels and advises using obtained working knowledge of financial services.
    14. Communicates and upholds TFCU policies and procedures. This position is responsible for implementation and control of policies and procedures.
    15. Full knowledge and approval authority (teller, loan and override) for Tower products and services in order to assist subordinates and members to resolve questions/problems and to interpret policy and procedures.
    16. Responsible for making independent decisions without the back-up support of headquarters (evenings and weekends).
    17. Utilize delegated authority with more frequent complex exception decisions.
    18. Effectively provide services to multiple (SEG) employees with more complex servicing needs compared to individual (DOD) sponsor employees.
    19. Increased awareness of security measures, concerns and operating procedures due to the fact that base personnel do not guard them.
    20. Manage drive –up windows.
    21. Handle non-member transactions.
    22. Scheduling of staff.
    23. Provides all types of share and loan services.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelors plus 1-2 years experience or 5 years related experience

COMPETENCIES:

  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to present information and respond to questions from a group of subordinates or individual members or superiors
  • Ability to reconcile and balance transaction records
  • Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Ability to sit, stand and walk for extended periods and demonstrate sufficient dexterity and vision to operate a variety of office equipment.
  • Ability to lift coin bags up to 50 pounds with or without assistance.
  • Ability to work the hours needed which may extend beyond the defined work schedule when operating conditions dictate.
