Job DetailsThis is a temp-to-perm position, where you will have the chance to showcase your skills in payroll management! You will be responsible for managing Bi-weekly & semi-monthly payroll for our employees, ensuring that all payments are accurate, on time, and compliant with state, federal, and union rules and regulations.
Responsibilities
- Managing the complete payroll process for all employees on a semi-monthly and weekly basis.
- Ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll updates including new hires, terminations, and changes to pay rates.
- Managing and ensuring compliance with all payroll tax obligations across multiple states.
- Overseeing the administration of 401K contributions, garnishments, and other deductions.
- Preparing and maintaining accurate records and reports of payroll transactions.
- Ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices.
- Facilitating audits by providing records and documentation to auditors.
- Handling payroll-related questions and resolving any payroll issues or discrepancies.
- Collaborating with the HR department to ensure correct employee data.
- Managing the month-end processes related to payroll and ensuring accurate general ledger postings.
- Processing timecards and timesheets accurately and timely.
- Ensuring compliance with FMLA and other relevant labor laws.
