* Safety First! Safety Always! Support a preventive safety culture throughout Dana
* Assist in development and expansion of Power Technology's primary product lines, utilizing engineering methodologies in conceptual design, product manufacturing, and validation.
* Develop and maintain documentation.
o Open issues list for design and engineering related issues.
o Design Failure Mode and Effects Analyses (DFMEA).
o Design Verification Planning and Reports (DVP&R) with progress reports.
o Program archive file
* Participate in Value Analysis and Value Engineering Activities
* Develop testing concepts for validating unique component features.
* Work with Applications Engineering personnel to complete all product designs in accordance with customer requirements and specifications.
* Work with the Validation group to complete all product validation per developed DVP&R.
* Assist in development and expansion of new product lines/concepts supporting Application Engineering staff.
* Interface with manufacturing facilities to ensure design can be manufactured within manufacturing requirements.
* Support benchmarking activities to maintain knowledge of competitor activity.
* Assist Application Engineering with updating Customer specification database.

Education and/or Experience:
* Pursuing Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) or equivalent
Requirements:
* Strong written and oral communication skills that allow the individual to express technical information in a clear and concise manner
* Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 software suite
* Must be a proven self-starter with proven time management ability
* This individual must enjoy working in a team environment as well as independently without constant direct supervision.
