Description

Objective:

Plans, executes, and manages quality management programs and staff, prepares PPAP, and serves as a point of contact for customers with quality concerns. Serves as the Management Representative for the Quality Management System.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Includes the following but not limited to other duties that may be assigned.
  2. Serves as the point of contact with customers for all quality-related issues.
  3. Investigate and adjust customer complaints regarding quality and analyze failure, corrective, and preventive action to respond to customer complaints.
  4. To continuously review quality control processes, procedures, and capabilities to sustain the most cost-effective and efficient methods for meeting quality requirements and making recommendations for improvement as appropriate.
  5. Review client QC requirements and ensure that quality control documentation for a project meets contractual requirements.
  6. Prevents defective products from entering the market.
  7. Manages and maintains the Company’s quality inspection and product release programs for incoming parts, daily products, and finished goods.
  8. Research and verify products returned from the customer.
  9. Creates and maintains PPAP files and documentation.
  10. Provide technical assistance to suppliers to understand PPAP requirements.
  11. Plans, coordinates, and directs quality control programs designed to improve the quality of products consistent with established standards.
  12. Manages and maintains the Company’s quality inspection and product release programs for incoming parts/ materials, daily products, and finished goods.
  13. Supervises Quality staff to ensure proper performance of duties and ensure tests and checks are completed accurately.
  14. Review the performance and training of Quality staff and manage their day-to-day activities.
  15. Develop a departmental budget and manage costs.
  16. Generates requisitions and calibration for tools and equipment.
  17. Ensures compliance with national and international standards and legislation.
  18. Reports to top management on the performance of the quality management system and any need for improvement.
  19. Ensures the promotion of awareness of customer requirements throughout the organization.
  20. Serves as liaison with external parties on matters relating to the quality management system.

Requirements

  • Comprehension//Reading 

Can read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. This position requires having the ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Can speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of an organization.

  • Mathematical Skills

I have knowledge of mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, as well as the fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Can apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. Must be able to analyze data and interpret information.

  • Reasoning Ability

Solve practical problems and deal with various concrete variables in situations with limited standardization. To interpret various instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

  • Computer Skills

Knowledge of Microsoft Office products, Word, Excel, Outlook, Explorer, PowerPoint, and Windows OS

  • Work experience.

10 years’ experience in a similar-type role in quality management or quality assurance in an automotive or mechanical-related manufacturing setting

5 years’ experience in a supervisory / leadership role

5 years “hands-on” experience with inspection, quality checks

Strong leadership skills, independent thinking

Strong organizational and planning abilities

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

Prefer:

Bachelor’s degree applicable field

MBA or advanced degree is a plus

General Deep knowledge of ISO certification
