Position Description : Position Summary :
Our client, a leading company in the flooring industry, is seeking a reliable and experienced Driver for a full temp-to-hire position.
This position is open for candidates located in either Paramount or Corona, CA. The role involves transporting multiple pallets of flooring to both commercial and residential locations within California.
The ideal candidate will have experience in operating forklifts and be capable of handling physical demands.
Core Responsibilities :
- Safe Transportation :
- Drive routes within California, delivering flooring materials to various locations, adhering to all traffic and safety regulations.
- Class A : Use a Class A truck to transfer products between Paramount and Corona locations.
- Class B : Use a Class B truck to deliver products from the workplace to various destinations.
- Load and Unload Cargo :
- Efficiently load and unload multiple pallets of flooring at each destination. Forklift operation may be required.
- Schedule Adherence :
- Communication :
- Maintain clear communication with the Day of Contact regarding route details, delivery schedules, and any issues encountered.
Requirements :
- Valid CDL : Must possess a current Class A or Class B Commercial Drivers License.
- Experience : 3-5 years of driving experience required, with a preference for candidates who have experience delivering to both commercial and residential locations.
- Physical Capability : Able to lift heavy weights with assistance and comfortable operating a forklift.
- Dependability : Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential, with flexibility to accommodate variable shift lengths.
