Job Title: Product Expert

Location: Palo Alto, CA

Purpose and Objective:

SAP Labs, LLC. seeks a Product Expert at our Palo Alto, CA location responsible for the success, quality, cost management and delivery of a product, product group or complex project in the whole product lifecycle as defined in the portfolio.

Expectations and Tasks:

Contribute to the efficiency, effectiveness and improvement of processes used in own area. Gain market & customer insight: Monitor market tendencies and technology trends. Analyze technology trends and customer requirements to identify growth opportunities for SAP. Contributes to business case, develops and drives a product vision and a product roadmap. Constantly evaluate competitive products on basis of publicly available information to ensure product is onpar or competitive in the current market. Conducts interviews, participate in customer events. Ensure product definition: Ensure customer input into all product definitions. Own and prioritize product backlog which reflects customer and user needs in order to achieve competitive advantage and increases the value for the customer. Provide holistic overview on overall product backlog and ensures Product team and related Scrum teams have a comprehensive understanding of the product backlog. Ensure rollout plan. Has a long term view on the product. A near horizon & longterm view is expected. Drive holistic product vision and product design and ensures all product teams have a comprehensive understanding of it. Develop test cases and/or conducts expert testing and validates planned and implemented scope

throughout product lifecycle and ensures delivery of high quality software. Accept or reject sprint results on a Scrum of Scrum level. Ensure creation of productrelated noncoded assets in close cooperation with central teams e.g. Release Management, Production, and Governance. Ensure the delivery of a product to implement the solution strategy. Collect & incorporate early feedback from Customer and other relevant stakeholders. Remain cognizant of usable software being available at the end of every sprint. Ensure both the internal stakeholders & external ecosystem is aware of the developments by working closely with stakeholders and customer groups. Contribute to

related communities identifies opportunities and drives innovation in respective topics and domains of the functional role. Actively follows and shares developments and trends regarding new SAP and complimentary partner service and solution offerings, industry trends and other topic areas relevant for the respective domain. 10% travel required.

Education and Qualifications/Skills and Competencies:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Business Administration, or related field of study and 7 years of experience required. The company will also accept a Master's degree and 5 years of experience.

Work Experience:

Experience must involve 5 years in the following: Setup, Test, Troubleshoot System Integration; Development skills in ABAP, C , JAVA; Mobile computing; Software design and development process; Product Management; Customer Service & Support; Sales & Go To Market; In Memory Database working knowledge; Establish and lead communities with Customer and Partner; SAP Integrated Business Planning configuration; Advanced supply chain planning; Event organization; Project Management; Escalation management. 10% travel required.
