San Bernardino County Workforce Development Board is Hiring a Plant Maintenance Near Palmdale, CA
Duties/Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance tasks such as cleaning, lubricating, and adjusting machinery to prevent breakdowns and ensure optimal performance.
- Monitor the performance of equipment and machinery to identify areas for improvement and suggest modifications or upgrades.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance tasks performed, including the date, time, and cost of repairs.
- Communicate with management and other team members to provide updates on maintenance activities and coordinate repairs.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose problems with equipment and machinery to identify the root cause of the issue and develop effective solutions.
- May also be responsible for assisting with other tasks around the job site, such as manual labor and cleaning.
- Must have 1 year of experience in a Rock Quarry Plant or Ready-Mix Plant. Repair, weld, and torch experience preferred.
- Must be able to follow safety procedures and work effectively in a high-pressure environment.
- Some electrical knowledge/experience
- Attention to detail.
- Requires physical strength and hand-eye coordination.
- The ability to work well in a team.
- Strong communication skills.
- Strong understanding of safety protocols
- A high school diploma or equivalent; Previous MSHA training is a plus.
- Standing for prolonged periods
- Lifting to 50 lbs.
- Crouching
- Walking
- Works in many different weather conditions
