Summary

We are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and be proficient in various accounting software. As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you will be responsible for processing and managing all accounts payable transactions, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Collaborating with internal departments to gather, analyze, and interpret relevant financial

data.

2. Receiving, processing, verifying, and reconciling invoices.

3. Comparing system reports to balances and verifying entries.

4. Charging expenses to accounts and cost centers, as well as controlling petty cash spending.

5. Verifying vendor accounts, paying vendors, and resolving purchase orders, invoices, or

payment discrepancies.

6. Issuing purchase order amendments and stop payments.

7. Monitoring payroll expense claims, including salary advances and overtime payments.

8. Reconciling account transactions with the general ledger.

9. Performing recordkeeping and preparing financial reports.

10. Keeping informed of regulatory requirements and best practices in accounting.

11. Adhere to all company policies and procedures.

12. Complete other tasks, as assigned by management.

13. Acquire and maintain all CEU, CPR, training, etc. as required by DCF and JCAHO.

EXPERIENCE
The ideal candidate should possess the following qualifications:
- Proven experience as an Accounts Payable Specialist or similar role
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices
- Proficiency in using accounting software
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- Knowledge of account reconciliation processes
- Familiarity with debits and credits
