Requirements:

• Must have, as a minimum, one year of experience as a nurse in a hospital, long-term care facility, or other related health care facility.
• Must possess an active license to practice as a RN/ LVN/ LPN license valid in this state.
• Experience with RAI process and MDS certification preferred.
• Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the general public.
• Must be knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines that pertain to long-term care.
• Must possess leadership and supervisory ability and the willingness to work harmoniously with and supervise other personnel.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee the Minimum Data Set (MDS) process in compliance with regulations.
• Utilize knowledge of DRG, EMR, and EHR systems to accurately document patient care.
• Ensure adherence to HIPAA regulations in handling medical documentation and records.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to maintain accurate medical terminology.
• Implement Medicare guidelines and CPT coding for efficient medical record management.
• Monitor and update medical records in accordance with LVN and RN license requirements.

Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week
