Job SummaryThe Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for maintaining the hotel's facilities and equipment in good working order. This includes performing routine maintenance tasks, troubleshooting and repairing equipment, and coordinating with outside contractors as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs, unclogging drains, and repairing minor plumbing issues
- Troubleshoot and repair equipment such as HVAC systems, refrigerators, and washing machines
- Coordinate with outside contractors for major repairs and renovations
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair work
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and standards
- Respond promptly to guest requests for maintenance assistance
- Assist with other duties as assigned by the General Manager
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in maintenance or a related field
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, plumbing, and electrical systems
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods of time
- Ability to climb ladders and work in confined spaces
