Job Function:

• Responsible for receiving written prescription or refill requests, verifying that information is accurate under supervising pharmacist
• Prepare bulk medications, fill bottles with prescribed medications, and type and attach labels
• Maintain proper storage and security for all drugs
• Deliver medications to patient care areas, refill automated dispensing cabinets, and conduct medication station reviews while adhering to department policies
• Order medications and supplies as needed or requested
• Assist patients by answering questions or referring them to the pharmacist for medication information

Job Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Certified MA
• 1 year previous experience required
