Job Title: Agriculture Sales

Job Summary:

Responsible for promoting and selling agronomic products, such as seeds, fertilizers, pesticides, and crop consulting services, to agricultural clients. They work closely with farmers and growers to understand their needs, offer tailored solutions, and provide expert advice on agronomic practices.

Key Responsibilities:

Customer Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential customers in the agricultural community.
  • Understand the unique needs and goals of each customer and provide personalized solutions.

Product Knowledge and Consultation:

  • Stay updated on agronomic products, including seeds, fertilizers, pesticides, and new agricultural technologies.
  • Offer agronomic advice and recommendations to clients based on their specific crops and conditions.

Sales and Marketing:

  • Identify sales opportunities and develop sales strategies to meet or exceed sales targets.
  • Promote and sell agronomic products and services through presentations, demonstrations, and marketing efforts.
  • Prepare and deliver sales proposals, quotes, and contracts to customers.

Product Support:

  • Assist customers in selecting the right products for their crops, taking into consideration factors like soil type, weather conditions, and budget constraints.
  • Provide technical support, including product application and usage instructions.

Market Research:

  • Monitor market trends, competitors, and industry developments to stay informed about the latest agronomic products and practices.
  • Share market insights and feedback with the sales team and management.

Sales Reporting and Administration:

  • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, sales activities, and product inventory.
  • Prepare sales reports, forecasts, and budgets as required by the organization.

Product Training:

  • Attend training sessions and workshops to enhance product knowledge and sales skills.
  • Provide training to customers on product use and best agronomic practices.

Compliance and Regulations:

  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations, safety standards, and environmental guidelines related to agronomic products.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in agronomy, agriculture, or a related field is typically preferred.
  • Previous experience in agricultural sales, agronomy, or a related field is beneficial.
  • Strong knowledge of agronomic products, crop production practices, and agricultural technologies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Sales and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a sales team.
  • Valid driver's license, as travel to customer locations is often required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to $100,000.00 per year
