Position: Food Service Supervisor The Food Service Supervisor is responsible for the planning and preparation of meals for the program community through a holistic health and wellness approach. The Food Service Supervisor will assist the Service Director/Residence Manager in the overall management and operation of the kitchen and food services. Position requires a food handler certificate within six months of employment. Food Service Supervisor Principal Responsibilities: Prepare nutritious meals for the program community, maintain appropriate portion sizes, and utilize fresh and healthy ingredients.Assist with management and operation of the kitchen and food services.Assist in the creation of menus through a holistic health and wellness approach, including adherence to any special diet orders (in applicable programs).Maintain sanitary conditions and compliance with applicable health department rules and regulations, including their certificate for food handlers.Ensure safety is adhered to within the department and the program.Assist with managing inventory of food, supplies and equipment.Confirm that food delivery invoices are accurate.Adhere to budget guidelines. Submit department reports and documentation. Directs and train consumers in food preparation (in applicable programs).
