DISTRICT SUPERINTENDENT
The Eastern Suffolk Board of Cooperative Educational Services (ESBOCES) is seeking a visionary, innovative, and insightful educational leader for the position of District Superintendent in the First Supervisory District of Suffolk County. The supervisory district encompasses 51 component school districts.
The District Superintendent of a BOCES is responsible for providing leadership to the BOCES and the component school districts served within the Supervisory District, as well as acting as a liaison between the public educational community and other state/regional agencies/organizations. The Board is committed to hiring a leader who is aligned to the vision, values, and goals of Eastern Suffolk BOCES. The Board is seeking a District Superintendent who will be authentic and approachable, while articulating the mission of Eastern Suffolk BOCES and advocating for the needs of the agency and the region. The candidate needs to have demonstrated experience fostering a professional culture that is equitable and inclusive, and be a skilled communicator who can inspire the confidence and trust of others.
New York State SDA or SDL certification required.
