Christian County Auditor’s Office is now accepting applications for a full-time Deputy Auditor. The Deputy Auditor will support the Christian County Auditor in reviewing and approving purchase requests and budgeting functions.

Duties and Responsibilities (including but not limited to):

• Review and Approve requisitions and payment processes.
• Assist in collection and distribution of budget information.
• Review and report fund balances
• Collect information for annual reports.
• Coordinate grant information/applications
• Manage and track assets to coordinate insurance.
• Perform functions of the Auditor as deemed necessary by circumstance.

Education/Experience:

Education: High School Diploma/GED required

Experience: Minimum two years clerical experience; accounting experience preferred

The Deputy Auditor must be a strategic thinker with the ability to learn multiple policies and procedures. The ability to work independently with minimal supervision is important. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Proficient computer skills including experience with Microsoft Office Suite. This position requires residence in Christian County, plus the ability to qualify to be bonded and pass an extensive background check as well as a drug screen.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $20.25 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
