Job DescriptionPOSITION SUMMARYThis position is responsible for general cleaning and sanitation tasks in various areas of the facility including washing tanks and baskets in the production and utilize a variety of NSP processes, equipment, or tools to meet production standards or specifications.
Essential Duties And ResponsibilitiesThe essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to have a full range of body motion including twisting, bending, reaching outward, pushing, pulling, intensive hand/wrist movement and lifting to meet the NSP minimum required pounds per day which is 50-80 pounds or more (unassisted). The employee must be able to walk and stand for a significant amount of time on even concrete surfaces, which may at times be slippery due to marinades, water, and other liquids associated with the production process.
Due to noise levels in the work environment, the use of hearing protection is required. The employee must have good, corrected vision to see details at close range or at a distance. The employee will be working in a climate-controlled environment of -40ºF to -45ºF. The employee may be exposed to strong odors such as raw meat and marinades from seasoned meat.
While in the production area, the employee is required to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to include hair and beard nets, rubber soled shoes, smocks, hearing protection and hard hats.

1st Shift 8:00am-5:00pm
Essential Duties And ResponsibilitiesThe essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Assist in the cleaning and sanitation of equipment, work areas, and production spaces.
- Handle waste disposal in accordance with company and environmental regulations.
- Operate and maintain cleaning equipment, such as power washers and sanitizing tools.
- Support production teams by supplying materials, assisting with setup, and performing general tasks.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and use personal protective equipment as required.
- Adhere to safety and hygiene standards to guarantee product quality.
- Follow established procedures for the proper handling and storage of cleaning chemicals.
- Collaborate with other departments to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Previous experience in meat processing preferred.
- Knowledge of cleaning procedures, sanitation, and safety practices.
- Ability to operate cleaning equipment and perform basic maintenance tasks.
- Physical stamina and the ability to lift and move heavy equipment or materials.
- Knowledge of food safety, quality control and hygiene practices is a plus.
- Ability to work in cold and/or refrigerated environment.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and regulated environment.
- Ability to read, write and communicate in English with strong verbal communication skills. Knowledge of Spanish is helpful, but not required.

- Must be able to firmly grip all tools used with dominant hand, using proper technique to complete the required tasks
- Visually inspect products or completed tasks
- Must be able to ensure products are within specification
- Required to wear all safety and personal protective equipment (PPE) such as mesh gloves, wrist protectors, earmuffs, hair and beard nets, and rubber soled shoes
- May be required to “fill-in” for other positions when there is a need.
- Other duties as assigned
- Ability to maintain concentration while performing tasks over period of time
- Ability to coordinate actions in relation to others’ actions
- Documented good safety and attendance record
- Demonstrated commitment to the GMP’s
- Must be able to communicate effectively with supervisors and co-workers
- Regular attendance at work and punctuality are essential job functions
- Ability to deal with stress and get along with co-workers and supervisors
- Ability to work in a safe manner, be considerate of other employees’ safety, and wears all personal protective equipment (PPE) as required

- The office environment is typically climate controlled of 68ºF to 72ºF and clean, with normal air contaminants, such as dust, typically found in an office environment
- The indoor production environment is climate-controlled of -40ºF to 45ºF with regular exposure to prolonged noise
