Job Title: Director of Product
Department: Marketing
Reports To: Senior Director of Product Engineering
Position location: This is a limited remote position. In order to be considered for this position, you MUST live in one of the following States, MO, KS, or OK
The Director of Product is responsible for translating ideas into strategy and features, and following product development from start to finish. Our services have already helped millions of borrowers, and now we are on a mission to deliver enhanced, and more graduated offerings to our consumers through a product-led offering that delivers value from the moment they sign up. To succeed in this role, you should be a perceptive and creative leader and a reliable problem-solver. You are someone who has empathy for their customers, and thrives in a collaborative environment with other bright, highly-motivated team members across finance, user experience, analytics, customer success, and marketing to deliver an outstanding product
Key Responsibilities:
  • Direct the efforts of less experienced product managers and coordinate cross-functional teams
  • Create buy-in for the product vision internally with leadership and key stakeholders
  • Manage the product roadmap and work cross-functionally across the org to effectively bring new feature releases to market
  • Manage the product development process from conception through design, release, and iteration
  • Translate product roadmap into detailed requirements for prototype construction and final product development by the engineering team
  • Collect and analyze feedback from customers, stakeholders, and other teams to prioritize and shape requirements and features
  • Define and monitor feature metrics, using data to recommend improvements
Skills and Experience:
  • 4 of product management experience
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams to deliver impactful products/services
  • Experience leading, coaching and mentoring other product managers
  • Proven ability to manage all aspects of a successful product throughout its lifecycle – from discovery to solutioning to production rollout and analysis
  • Experience estimating and measuring the impact of solutions on product metrics
  • Solid technical background with experience writing user stories, backlog grooming, and coordinating team activities
  • Positive energy and ability to work with customers and stakeholders to build consensus and guide decision-making
  • Strong organizational, verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Experience & Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising, business administration, or similar
    • Advanced degree in marketing or MBA preferred
  • Desire to stay on the cutting edge of marketing technology and best practices
