Netsmart is Hiring a Medical Billing Specialist Near Overland Park, KS
Responsibilities
- Address and resolve basic and routine support requests specifically for billing module or billing processes
- Diagnose and resolve standard client questions or problems over the telephone or internet. Adhere to Netsmart processes and best practices.
- Escalate support requests as required.
- Enter quality information into tracking systems and contribute to knowledge bases and documentation.
- Provide solution or process training to clients including assistance with data setup and testing
- Prepare new or complex source data for payer or billing configurations and complete entry into client systems.
- Verify entered data by reviewing, correcting, testing, or troubleshooting
- Complete various medical billing projects, including training of internal teams and external clients on billing modules, solution functionality, billing process setups, or other projects as assigned.
- High school diploma or GED or equivalent required.
- Demonstrate strong customer service skills including de-escalation, empathy, and sense of urgency in resolving concerns.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, specifically Excel, Word and Outlook.
- Experience with high-level in-bound calling
- Healthcare solution support experience
- Healthcare billing workflow experience
- Strong documentation and data gathering skills
