First Resources Corp. of Ottumwa is growing and we are searching for a dedicated and energetic full-time Direct Support Professional. The ideal candidate would be responsible for daily services for people will work with an individual with an intellectual disability and/or chronic mental illness. The individuals we work with require support, either in their home or out in their community. As a Direct Support Professional is there to provide support, assistance, and instruction in learning independent living skills like: Money management Socialization Cooking Personal hygiene Goal Setting and achieving Communication and self-expression needs Coping skills Requirements: High School Diploma or equivalent Must have a valid driver's license, a good driving record and show proof of auto insurance. Satisfactory results on background check pertaining to criminal and abuse registries. Experience is preferred, but not required.
