Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Assistant to join our team. As a Veterinary Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing care and support to our animal patients. Duties:
- Assist veterinarians with examinations, treatments, and presenting estimates.
- Prepare examination rooms and surgical suites for procedures
- Handle and restrain animals during procedures and examinations
- Administer medications and vaccinations as directed by veterinarians
- Collect and prepare laboratory samples for testing
- Perform basic laboratory tests such as bloodwork and urinalysis
- Clean and sterilize equipment and instruments
- Maintain accurate records of patient care and treatment
- Provide post-operative care instructions to pet owners
- Assist with pet grooming, bathing, and nail trims

Experience:
- Previous experience working in a veterinary clinic or animal care facility is preferred
- Knowledge of animal physiology, anatomy, and behavior
- Familiarity with veterinary terminology and procedures
- Experience with animal restraint techniques
- Ability to perform basic laboratory tests such as bloodwork and urinalysis
- Proficiency in animal catheterization is a plus
