Job DescriptionOversee and direct the management of day-to-day operations. The Director of Operations is responsible for the effectiveness, successful management, and overall performance of the Operations team. Identifies opportunities for improvement in processes, whether technological, manual or managerial in nature to align with the company’s Mission.
Key Responsibilities
  • Work closely with COO to define and/or implement policies, procedures and to follow through with their implementation and refinement
  • Responsible for all department managers, with review/hiring oversight responsibility for all Operations employees
  • Communicate job expectations; planning, monitoring, and reviewing job contributions, specifically of Operations management and supervisory positions
  • Regularly evaluating the efficiency of business procedures according to organizational objectives and apply improvements
  • Identifying potential problems and points of friction and working to find solutions in order to maximize efficiency
  • Communicating customer issues with Operations team and devise ways of improving the customer experience and Operational employee experience
  • Coordinating opportunities to foster exchange of ideas and provide cross-team learning, both within Operations and between other departments
  • Inspiring and motivating employees to perform at their best through positive encouragement and incentive initiatives
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications
  • Proven work experience as Director of Operations or similar role
  • Knowledge of organizational effectiveness and operations management
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Leadership ability
  • Outstanding organizational skills
Education/ExperienceA high school diploma or GED required. Relevant work experiences a plus. Competitive salary and full benefit package available.
Physical RequirementsWhile performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to communicate verbally and in the written form. The employee is physically required to utilize a laptop and other electronic devices effectively. The employee must lift and/or move up to 20 pounds (laptop computer, bag, and accessories). Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and distance vision.
