Willard Marine is seeking a Production Supervisor. The ideal candidate will provide direction, support, and hands-on expertise to the production crew for the installation, assembling and testing of all Willard’s boats. 

Essential Functions: 

Under the Direction of the Director of Manufacturing the individual will:

• Plans, prioritizes, directs, and coordinates the activities of the shop employees and/or first line supervisors for production among various boat manufacturing jobs. 
• Ensures the total manufacturing objectives are accomplished in a timely and cost-effective manner.
• Hires, trains, coaches, evaluates, and discharges shop employees, and resolve personnel grievances.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to influence and guide all levels of employees. 
• Assists in the creation of schedules and planning documents relative to future and present projects. 
• Makes proper planning and requests of needed resources, shop tools and supplies, ensuring that materials, labor, and equipment are used efficiently to meet production targets. 
• Reviews project documents, construction drawings, and bills of material for types, quantities, and specifications to ensure contract compliance and company objectives are achieved in the production, assembly, and shipping processes. 
• Compliance objectives shall include employee safety, quality, time commitments, budget commitments, and ISO compliance. 
• Enforce company policies. 
• Prepares and maintains reports relative to production, planning and personnel.
• Monitors and maintains BOM and material availability for production.
• Identifies areas for continuous improvement and proposes potential solutions. 
• Able to develop and maintain vendor relationships.
• Works closely with leads and other employees to gather information and meet project milestones.
• Ability to handle multiple projects.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements and Qualifications:

• 3-5 years hands-on related working experience in automotive, maritime, or other complex manufacturing industry. 
• 3 years in a leadership role with solid managerial skills
• Proficient in reading and working from engineering drawings, diagrams, schematics and interpreting technical specifications.
• Proficiency with common shop tools and their appropriate use
• Sufficient computer skills using Microsoft Word, Excel, and outlook.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. 
• Familiar with ERP systems.

Preferred Requirements:

• Boat manufacturing experience
• Bilingual (Spanish)

Education:

• A minimum High School diploma
