Your Role

The Blue Shield of California Promise Health Plan Clinical Access Programs department is responsible for regulatory oversight and audits of providers to ensure the quality of care and services received by our members, monitoring and oversight of access and availability of care, and member outreach and coordination of care. The Business Analyst, Consultant will report to the Director of the Clinical Access Programs department. In this role you will provide analytical and data support for Clinical Access Programs Department projects and business operations. The Business Analyst, Consultant, will prepare regulatory reporting, support department leadership with initiatives by defining business requirements, conducting readiness assessments and assisting with operational and implementation plans.

Your Work

In this role, you will:

• Provide highly complex analytical support through the analysis and interpretation of data in support of cross-functional business operations
• Develop, prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly and annual regulatory reports
• Develop, prepare, and analyze reports with highly complex analysis and data for management review, and presents to various levels of management
• Define business requirements and provide analysis to increase operational efficiency
• Provide analytical support for multiple, highly complex cross-functional projects simultaneously, establish work plans and timelines, coordinate with internal and external resources and complete projects on-time
• Collaborate with internal data and analytics staff to determine solutions for reporting needs
• Assist in analysis and collaboration with external data source representatives in order to safely import and analyze data to increase operational efficiency

Your Knowledge and Experience

• Requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
• Requires at least 7 years of prior relevant experience
• MS Excel proficiency required, must be able to create pivots, filters, slicers, record/modify macros, and perform operations using formulas/functions.
• MS SharePoint proficiency required
• MS Office Suite proficiency required (specifically Word, Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint, OneDrive, Excel)
• Atlassian JIRA, Salesforce Health Cloud, Care Connect, and Tableau proficiency preferred

Pay Range:

The pay range for this role is: $96,470.00 to $144,760.00 for California.
