Malcolm Bryant Corporation is Hiring a Maintenance Technician Near Owensboro, KY

Apply online or in person at the Hampton Inn Owensboro South at 615 Salem Dr.

To lead all maintenance aspects of our hotel. A successful candidate will have an eye for detail, desire to serve, and will put the safety & security of the hotel will be in the forefront of all they do. The right candidate will be skilled in painting, plumbing, basic electrical and general equipment maintenance. Maintaining the building and grounds to achieve the highest level of guest experience is key to the success of this individual.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

· Timely response to guest requests in a friendly and professional manner. Follows up to ensure guest satisfaction.

· Provides a professional image at all times through appearance, dress, and attitude.

· Able to multi-task & prioritize.

· Use and execute a preventative maintenance checklist and complete minor repair work orders such as replacing ceiling tiles, light bulbs, patching vinyl, etc., to maintain the hotel and keep product quality to standard.

· Checking electrical systems such as air-conditioning controls, television sets, lighting systems and makes minor repairs and/ or replacement.

· To make repairs to general plumbing systems and fixtures such as pipelines, toilets and sinks, kitchen and laundry equipment.

· Refurbishing furniture and fixtures within guest rooms such as cabinets, tables, chairs, doors, windows, and counters. Paints and finishes furniture and fixtures in guest rooms, if needed.

· Other jobs as requested by the General Manager

Expectations:

· Customer Service – Responds promptly to customer needs, requests for service and assistance. Respond to special requests from guests.

· Team Work – Treats people with respect. Keeps commitments. Upholds organizational values. Approach all encounters with guests and employees in a friendly service-oriented manner.

· Quality – Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness; monitors own work to ensure quality. Periodically restock self-service food and supplies as needed. Wash china, flatware and serving equipment and return it to storage.

· Quantity – Meets productivity standards and completes work within a timely manner.

· Safety and Security – Observes safety and security procedures; reports potentially unsafe conditions; uses chemicals and equipment properly. Responsible for any assigned keys and for following key control policies.

· Dependability – Is consistently at work and on time. Arrives at scheduled meetings and appointments on time. Can meet the demands of the industry regarding working holidays and weekends.

· Initiative – Volunteers readily. Asks for and offers help when needed. Clears and cleans tables as they are vacated, wipes up spills, sweeps, mops and vacuums kitchen and dining areas. Removes trash.

· Compliance – Comply with health department rules and regulations with respect to handling, preparing and storing food.

Qualifications

High School diploma or equivalent is preferred. Prefer some basic knowledge of industrial equipment.
