Position Overview:

Responsible for the accuracy of all patient/partner demographics entered into the system. Responsible for collecting co-payments at time of service. Work in collaboration with clinical and other administrative staffs to ensure billing to insurance/patient are consistent with RMA-CT’s professional standards and clinical practices. Provide weekend and holiday back-up coverage.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Enter all demographic/insurance information into Athena and RESource.
• Schedule all appointment types.
• Answer calls in a timely and friendly manner.
• Triage and direct calls appropriately.
• Collect co-payments and post on patient’s account.
• Act as a liaison between patient and clinical/administrative departments.
• Greet all patients in a kind and friendly manner.
• Scan drivers licenses and insurance cards.
• Print all billing encounters.
• Collect all encounters; compare with schedule to make sure all services rendered are being captured.
• Monitor and maintain physician schedule;
• Ensure patients are being seen in a timely fashion.
• Check in/out patients.
• Collect new patient records and forms, scan into Ebridge.
• Ability to handle protected health information (PHI) in a manner consistent with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA).

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required
• Previous experience in customer or patient service required

Staff member must meet immunizations requirements as stated in the Illume Fertility immunization policy.
