Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Dental Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures and help provide quality patient care.
Duties:
- Prepare patients for dental work
- Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment
- Assist dentists in managing medical and dental emergencies
- Take and develop dental X-rays
- Provide patients with instructions for oral care following surgery or other dental treatment procedures
- Educate patients on appropriate oral hygiene strategies to maintain oral health
- Maintain accurate patient records
Qualifications:
- Certification or associate degree in Dental Assisting
- Proficiency in medical imaging software such as Epic or similar systems
- Experience in assisting with Pediatric dentistry procedures
- Knowledge of taking vital signs and patient assessment
- Familiarity with X-Ray procedures and equipment
- Understanding of medical terminology
- Experience with OpenDental software is preferred
