Job Description : Communications Specialists receive, process, and transmit communications utilizing radios, telephone, and computer aided dispatch software (CAD) in accordance with regulations guided by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and Commission on Accreditation of Medial Transport Systems (CAMTS), Communication Specialists (CS) maintain records and communications center-related documentation of air and ground patient transport requests, in addition serves as a liaison between hospitals, public safety, and EMS agencies facilitating patient transport to definitive care.
Job Essentials Receives incoming patient transport requests in a hospital or pre-hospital setting Coordinates the closest, safest, and most appropriate asset for transport, while following all appropriate guidelines and protocols.
