Responsibilities:
- Use CAD software to design dental prosthetics and appliances
- Fabricate dental prosthetics and appliances using various materials
- Follow specific instructions and prescriptions from dentists or orthodontists
- Ensure accuracy and precision in measurements using micrometers and other tools
- Maintain infection control protocols and adhere to aseptic techniques
- Perform patient assessments, including taking vital signs and documenting medical records
- Collaborate with dental professionals to ensure proper fit and function of prosthetics
- Keep accurate medical documentation of procedures performed
- Stay up-to-date with advancements in dental technology and techniques
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Dental Technician or similar role
- Proficiency in using CAD software for designing dental prosthetics (e.g., 3Shape, Exocad)
- Strong knowledge of dental anatomy, materials, and fabrication techniques
- Familiarity with medical coding systems (e.g., CDT codes)
- Excellent attention to detail and manual dexterity
- Ability to follow precise instructions and prescriptions from dental professionals
- Knowledge of infection control protocols and aseptic techniques
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with the dental team
- Familiarity with electronic health record systems (e.g., Epic) is a plus
