Under general supervision, performs responsible customer service, supervisory, and clerical work for the Parks and Recreation Department Aquatic & Fitness Center. Work involves handling the responsibility for front desk operations specifically the use of the computer point of sales, computer registration, credit card machines, and any financial transactions that occur, which includes balancing and closing register drawers; supervising part-time customer service representatives and developing work schedules; assisting with servicing the general public at the front desk in an efficient and courteous manner with regard to registration for programs and membership sales, facility usage, preparing photo identifications, answering the telephone, issuing equipment, and other assignments as deemed necessary to perform the job.
Must be physically able to operate a variety of office machines and equipment. Must be able to exert up to five pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time, but may involve walking or standing for periods of time. Must be able to lift and/or carry weights of up to twenty pounds.
