About the Position:

Under general direction, this position reviews clinical documentation to screen for appropriateness of admission, continued stay criteria and special studies regarding delivery of care, treatment, and services. Utilization Review Specialists also confirm insurance eligibility, prepare reports, and actively participate in continuous quality improvement.

Job Type/Salary:

• $34,500.00 yearly, $16.58/hour
• Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
• Non-Exempt

Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

Completion of a Bachelor’s Degree in social work, psychology, or related field from an accredited college or university OR equivalent combination of education and experience.

Special Requirements:

Applicants must be willing and able to fulfill any job-related travel normally associated with this position and as such have a valid driver’s license.

About us: Griffin Memorial Hospital (GMH) is located in Norman, Oklahoma, and serves all 77 counties in Oklahoma as a Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services (ODMHSAS) treatment center for adults. Griffin Memorial Hospital is a 120-bed acute psychiatric hospital serving persons aged 18 and over with severe mental illness and provides in-patient hospital care for those in need of mental health & substance abuse services.
