Eggleston Services is Hiring a Contract Specialist Near Norfolk, VA

Contract Specialist - Enjoy a rewarding and challenging position with a nonprofit organization that has been helping educate, train, and provide employment opportunities for individuals with disabilities since 1955. We are seeking applicants for a full-time Contract Specialist who will be responsible for seeking, researching, targeting, and pursuing Contract opportunities that are appropriate to Eggleston’s capabilities. Evaluate Contract opportunities for best fit given multiple project opportunities at Eggleston. Identify decision-makers for each grant opportunity. Develop and cultivate relationships with Contracting Activity Representatives, as appropriate. Assist with the pursuit of grant opportunities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Write proposals according to Contracting Activity standards or requirements.
  • Follow Eggleston guidelines to approach bidding and compliance and align ethical and technical standards.
  • Administer contracts, including reporting outcomes, cost updates, and filing reports as required by Contracting Activities.
  • Develop and maintain a pipeline tracker of upcoming contract opportunities, awards, renewals, and base year opportunities.
  • Develop processes and procedures related to quality control.
  • Develop and maintain complete contracting files in accordance with best practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide complete Contract Lifecycle support.
  • Provide support as needed on contract proposals.
  • Provide support as requested operations team.
  • Customer relationship management with Contracting Activities
  • Review contract clauses on both prime and subcontracts.
  • Manage subcontracts and provide oversight to subcontractors.
  • Other duties relating to contracts as directed.
    Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's Degree
    • CFCM, CCCM, FAC-C Level 3, DAWIA, or CPCM preferred.
    • Five (5) years of successful Contract Management experience preferred.
    • Demonstrated experience and success in successful federal contract wins.
    • Excellence in utilizing CRM systems.
    • Excellence in presentations
    • Microsoft Office Suite experience
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Contract pricing and cost analysis excellence.
    • Proficiency in public speaking.
      Knowledge of:
      • Corporate Policies and Procedures
      • Professional ethics and boundaries
      • Shareholder interests and needs
      • Disability policy and employment opportunities for individuals with disabilities
        Skill in:
        • Working knowledge of federal state and private corporate contracting principles
        • An established network of contacts with Contracting Activities, subcontractors, and prime contractors in the Federal, State, and Local government contracting sphere.
        • Superior writing skills.
          Ability to:
          • Deliver exceptional service to customers, Contracting Officers, the individuals we serve, volunteers, and board members.
          • Utilize critical thinking processes to facilitate decision-making.
          • Establish and maintain effective working relationships.
          • Work independently.
          • Resolve conflict and conduct contract negotiations.
          • Prepare reports and presentations.
