Director of Environmental Services

Full Time Days and Evenings

Working Monday-Friday 8AM-4 : 30PM

Salary up to $56,516 / year; based on experience

United Methodist Communities is currently seeking a Director of Environmental Services for Bristol Glen Senior Care Community located in Newton, NJ.

Bristol Glen, Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC), is a thoughtfully designed and meticulously maintained 75-acre campus providing exceptional options for senior care living.

The Director of Environmental Services is responsible for managing all housekeeping, laundry, and other personnel in order to maintain proper sanitary and safety conditions and ensures compliance with all applicable state and federal regulations.

Requirements for an Director of Environmental Services :

• High School diploma or equivalency
• Three years' experience in housekeeping or a related area in a health care setting required.
• Supervisory experience is preferred.

Responsibilities for a Director of Environmental Services :

Support, uphold and maintain the mission and values of the United Methodist Communities and promote the Communities in a positive manner in all interactions within and outside the community.

Demonstrate loyalty to and pride in the community, its associates, residents, and guests.

• Respect and safeguard the confidentiality of information including HIPAA, regarding residents, associates and guests.
• Project a professional and caring demeanor when interacting with residents, family members, guests, and associates.
• Maintain a clean, neat and orderly environment. Use equipment, supplies and other materials in a responsible and cost-effective manner.
• Demonstrate teamwork when interacting with other associates throughout the organization. Show respect for self and others in language, dress and behavior.
• Initiate prompt and appropriate action / follow-up to problems and issues.
• Anticipate needs of residents, guests and associates in a proactive fashion; seek to meet the needs promptly and courteously.
• Welcome suggestions and new ideas as an opportunity to learn, grow and improve services.
