You will work closely with teachers, administrators, and other stakeholders to provide targeted professional development, facilitate collaboration, and implement best practices in instructional strategies and curriculum development. Your primary objective will be to empower educators to maximize student achievement and foster a culture of continuous improvement. As a K-5 Instructional Coach, you will have the unique opportunity to make a significant impact on student learning outcomes by empowering teachers with the knowledge, skills, and support they need to excel in their practice.

Education, Training, Skills, Experience, & Licensure Requirements: Bachelors degree in Education or related field (Masters degree preferred).Valid teaching certification with significant experience in K-5 education.Proven success as an effective classroom teacher with a track record of improving student achievement.Experience in instructional coaching, mentoring, or professional development facilitation preferred.Strong understanding of curriculum development, instructional strategies, and assessment practices relevant to K-5 education.Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills.Ability to analyze data effectively and use it to inform instructional decision-making.Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional growth and learning.DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Professional DevelopmentDesign and deliver professional development sessions and workshops focused on effective instructional strategies, curriculum development, assessment techniques, and differentiated instruction tailored to K-5 classrooms.Provide individualized coaching and support to teachers, including modeling effective teaching practices, observing classroom instruction, and providing constructive feedback.Collaborate with teachers to develop personalized growth plans, set instructional goals, and identify resources to support their professional development needs. 2.
Curriculum Support and Development Work collaboratively with curriculum specialists and administrators to evaluate, adapt, and develop K-5 curriculum materials and resources aligned with state standards, district goals, and research-based best practices.Assist teachers in implementing and integrating new instructional materials, technologies, and programs effectively into their classroom instruction.Stay abreast of current trends, research, and developments in K-5 education to inform curriculum decisions and instructional practices. 3. Data Analysis and Instructional PlanningAnalyze student achievement data, assessment results, and other relevant metrics to identify trends, areas for improvement, and instructional priorities.Support teachers in utilizing data to inform instructional decision-making, differentiate instruction, and address the diverse needs of students.Collaborate with teachers to develop and implement data-driven instructional plans and interventions to support student growth and academic success. 4.
Collaboration and Professional Learning Communities (PLCs): Foster a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement by facilitating Professional Learning Communities (PLCs) and grade-level meetings focused on instructional strategies, data analysis, and student engagement.Encourage sharing of best practices, collaborative problem-solving, and reflection among teachers to improve instructional effectiveness and student outcomes.Establish and maintain effective communication channels to share resources, updates, and instructional support strategies with teachers and staff.LEGAL and ETHICAL DUTIES: Maintains confidentiality about all aspects of student performance and written and oral records.2. Demonstrates a respect for the legal and human rights of students, instructors, and other staff.3. Follows health and safety procedures established by the district4.
